Here’s a list of the various islands in the Solastella Region
Solastella League
1. Twin Isles
All trainers new to Solastella arrive here, typically by ferry. These isles are actually technically two separate islands, but they are so close to each other that they usually count as one. More over, the first of the two, Romulus Isle, is simply home to a Laboratory and the Port. From here, trainers will be given their Trainer Card, Starter Pokémon and a few items to get them started on their journey. From there, they can travel along the long Verda Bridge, which is the first time that many will encounter wild Pokémon. This takes them to Remus Isle, which has a few basic amenities and a gym. Most importantly, however, Remus Isle is home to a port from which most trainers will be able to travel to the other islands in the Solastella Region
2. Sphinx Island
This desert island is home to a variety of Pokémon, who move along the shifting sand dunes. The climate of this island is defined by the dry winds moving in from the south. Trainers arrive here from Remus Isle and travel along Sphinx Canyon, which eventually leads them to Menes City. Menes is a towering city, simultaneously old and new - the oldest buildings in Solastella lie next to gleaming skyscrapers and hall. Flowing through Menes City is the Menes, a colossal river which provides fertility to the otherwise barren landscape and flows to the edge of Sphinx Island. Trainers must walk along this river, or hire out a boat, in order to reach a port at the other end.
3. Marsmonte Island
This large island sees a lot more rain than the other isles in Solastella. The main port from Sphinx Island is Marshtown, a medium sized fishing town. Bounded in by Mt. Marsmonte, which dominates the island, the rains are often concentrated on the east side of the island, which has lead to Marsmonte Forest covering the entirety of the island’s surface from Marshtown to the Mountain itself. Though it is easy to get lost, the paths do eventually lead to Sierraville, a large city that lies halfway up the mountain. A balloon service from Sierraville allows trainers to travel to an island that is otherwise more difficult to reach.
4. Isle of Bracken
The Isle of Bracken is less of an island and more of a big rock - with sheer cliffs that make it very hard to reach via boat. Bracken is also the name of the town that exists on the island itself, but in order to reach it, one must first traverse the Dempe Caves that criss-cross across the Isle. The town of Bracken Outpost itself is small, but it is home to some special volcanic treatments and another gym. Once trainers have beaten Bracken’s gym leader, however, they are free to challenge the most devious challenge of the Solastella League - the Elite Four.
5. Gloriana Tower
The Underwater Train Service from Bracken takes trainers straight to Gloriana Tower, which is not an island - instead, it is completely artificial, rising out of the water. It is tall enough that it can be seen from practically any part of the Solastella region. The only way to access it is from the UTS - it is impossible to reach via boat or air. Once inside, trainers will be asked to demonstrate that they have defeated each of the gyms in Solastella.
At the top of the tower are four rooms, which house the Elite Four. Beating them will not be easy. Defeat means that the challenge must begin again. However, eternal glory awaits the trainer who is able to ascend to the top of this tower and conquer the toughest challenge the Solastella Region is able to present! Solastella Archipelago
1. Protos Isle
Protos Isle is a younger island than many of the empyrean stars that fill the Archipelago, and as such it experiences a hefty amount of Volcanic activity. Will you scale Mt. Protos? or perhaps you want to take in the sights of the Vineyards? Be sure to watch your step, the Lava Falls are rather dangerous places!
2. Spice Islet
Spice Islet is a small island with a more temperate climate than many of the others, though it still has gorgeous palm-fringed beaches. Spice Meadow, which covers most of the surface of the island is filled with sweet smelling plants and long grass, sprinkled with colourful flowers. Trees can be seen dotted around the landscape, but the meadow is largely open. In the centre of the islet is Lake Parsus, which is filled with clear blue water. A few houses are around the side of the lake, but nothing too substantial. In the centre of the lake, however, is Mausolea Hill, a small island-on-an-island that is home to a number of graves and explorable crypts. Though it can be very beautiful in a sombre way during the day, at night it is home to dark ghost Pokémon.
3. Hummingbird Lagoon
Although it is possible to reach it via boat, the coral atoll that fills this lagoon makes it hard to reach the entirety of this location without the use of Surf. Hummingbird Lagoon itself is the most idyllic part of Solastella - tiny, uninhabited islands form a chain around this picturesque area, filled with playful water Pokémon. Those trainers that have Dive with them can even go exploring Hummingbird Reef, a colourful coral reef filled with vibrancy. Explore a little further, however, and you will find the S.S. Kain, a ship which was sunken many years ago. Some say it’s full of treasure, but mostly it’s got some cool Pokémon and historical artefacts. Who knows, though, maybe those rumours of stolen pirate loot are true! Somewhere in the Lagoon, the Dream Isle also lurks - it’s a mysterious island, which appears differently to each person who tries to explore it - with Pok?mon that are gifted with rare abilities. Who knows what you will find?
4. Cryo Rock
Maybe ‘Rock’ is a bit of an understatement - Cryo Rock may have scraggy, forbidding cliffs, but beyond those cliffs there is plenty of life. Perhaps the ancient Solastellans that charted these waters never got the chance to explore beyond the dangerous precipices and assumed the entire ‘rock’ was that way. In fact, once you move past the thin, snaking paths that ascent Cryo Cliffs, which are filled abundantly with flying-type Pok?mon, you come to huge, rolling hills suspended on a plateau above the sea. The grass is hidden beneath at least a foot of snow except in the heat of the summer where it is sometimes melted enough for flowers to bloom. You have reached Cryo Steppes, which seem to stretch as far as the eye can see in every direction. If you’re willing to explore a little more deeply, you might even come across the Chemical Processing Plant which was sited here decades ago at the height of an industrial revolution. Though most of the plant is completely decommissioned, it’s infested with hundreds of Pok?mon - and there are still dark secrets within.
5. Acero Isle
This island has a round, steel-blue mountain in the centre, which is fringed by otherwise flat by golden beaches. The mountain itself is steeper on one side than the other, making it appear like a sundial. Acero Beach, however, is renowned for the quality of its sand and the wealth of shells that can be found here. Perennially sunny, the beach is a favourite holiday destination, and it is possible to relax in the resort which sits in the shadow of the mountain. If you’d like, you can explore the Solenoid Caverns which criss-cross the mountain, which is supposedly filled with rare metals. Otherwise, you can explore the Ferroworks, a huge disused factory which is filled with old smelting houses and mines. Molten steel still flows through some of the larger rooms in the Ferroworks, so mind you don’t burn yourself!
