What Waz said - HMs are going to be sequential, one after each badge/rank/researcher equivalent. But because not all of them are that useful in an RP setting (see- Defog, Strength, Cut, Flash), although we’ll have them, the only ones that will really matter will probably be Surf, Fly, Dive, Whirlpool (maybe), Waterfall (maybe). yeah.

Well, if a researcher or coordinator decides to be a trainer, they would have the advantage of strong Pok?mon, wouldn't they? And it seems unfair to take that away from them, but otherwise a blank slate would be fine.
Okay, I'm off to add some researcher 'boss' quests to my Seas Writings thread then. I'll try to finish it quickly, since I don't think I'll be here for a day or two.

Meh, having strong Pok?mon from a career switch would be fine. It's just like if a trainer doesn't face the gym for whatever reason, then finally decides to and challenges them with a Pok?mon a kajillion levels higher than the gym's Pok?mon.

Yeah - I mean, they’d still have to put the effort in to get the strong Pok?mon, so I don’ t see a problem with that. And plus, it’s not really putting people on other paths at a disadvantage since they have the same opportunities if they want it.

Okay, I just wanted to be sure. Finished a rough draft of boss questy things for researchers, made sure they were all repeatable, except for possibly the last one.

Alright, posting the skeleton of the E4 Flying-type person here for now. Have good ideas for her looks and personality and all, and the Pok?mon's personalities, so, in the process of writing those. <3 This shall be made pretty later.
Skarmory: Swords Dance, Drill Peck, Spikes, Steel Wing (Keen Eye; first Pok?mon) Mandibuzz: Toxic, Whirlwind, Faint Attack, Roost (Big Pecks; usually second) Braviary: Crush Claw, Shadow Claw, Rock Smash, Air Drop (Defiant) Aerodactyl: Stone Edge, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Earthquake (Unnerve) Archeops: Earthquake, Acrobatics, Stone Edge, Hone Claws (Defeatist) Gliscor: Stone Edge, Swords Dance, Acrobatics, Earthquake (Hyper Cutter?)
Alright... Rough draft.
Lyra Banks-- Archeops Pokemorph, 27 years old. (Type 2?)
Born in Blackthorn City, Lyra was never a very confident child. The school which she went to was full of other, Flying-type Morphs, and yet, Lyra herself could not fly whatsoever. She could not even hover, like a few of the others were forced to do. As she grew into a teenager, the girl suffered bouts of depression and many self-esteem issues. Her outlook on life was one of sorrow more than anything else, and things did not look good.
However, one day, something miraculous happened. After a particularly stressful day, Lyra felt horrendous, sudden pain throughout her entire body. After much screeching, clawing, and the cracking of bone, her entire structure seemed to have changed. The woman had evolved from an Archen Morph into an Archeops Morph, and in the process, along with other major changes, her once useless wing arms had developed into beautiful, full-fledged wings that now seemed quite capable of flight. For the first time, she was filled with some primary form of hope. It took many weeks, but, when she made her first real flight after practicing, her entire nature underwent a change.
The once nervous individual changed dramatically, becoming quite confident and even arrogant to an extreme once she had achieved flight. In her mind, she was no longer a useless, flightless bird. Now, she could actually make something out of her life. With renewed strength, she traveled the Unova Region, deciding to specialize in Flying-types. The woman seemed to have been reborn altogether, much like a phoenix that had risen from ugly ashes into a powerful, new creature.
It's unsure how she did it exactly, though there's obviously a lot of effort and hard work in the equation, but Lyra eventually became one of the most well-known Flying specialists throughout the world. The woman was incredibly strategic and ruthlessly efficient in the movesets of her Pok?mon, and each Pokémon knew its proper role in her team, even if it had its own unique personality. It was no surprise, then, that when the Solastella Region was founded, Lyra was one of the first asked to be an Elite Four member. Given the chance to finally prove herself to the world, Lyra accepted immediately, taking her place as the first member of the Elite Four in the new region.
Personality: Lyra is incredibly cocky and arrogant, and she uses this to mess with her opponents' minds. If she gets a hit in, she'll be sure to jeer about it at her challenger, often infuriating them in the process. The woman also shows incredible persistence, seeming to almost never show any nerves even in the face of defeat. In battle, she is incredibly vicious, often merely content to watch with a nearly manical, fanged grin, as her Pokémon are more than capable of holding their own in battle. If the need arises, however, she's more than willing to issue commands. In short, Lyra is very serious in what she does, though she's also able to poke fun at her opponents in an attempt to unravel their plans and composition. The woman is quite a unique individual, all things considered. She might seem abrasive and cocky to... everyone, really, but she certainly has an amazing bond with every member of her team.
