so i'm sure most of ya'll are familiar with dungeons and dragons, am i right? well, there's a Pok?mon equivalent of that! and it's awesome. and spidey and i would love to start up a game. 8) here's the website for the game, although if you're interested in joining, don't worry about downloading stuff; spidey will have everything you need available on dropbox, making it easy. but yeah! basically, spidey would DM, and we would conduct our session using IRC for the actual gameplay and dropbox for storing and sharing files and information. we'd have to figure out when to play depending on everyone's schedule, but i'm sure we'd be able to figure something out! sooooooo anyone interested?????!

Ooh! That sounds like a lot of fun! My only question is, if we’re downloading it, will it work on mac? I have dropbox and stuff, but it’s just I don’t want to download it and get stuff and it doesn’t work out. Unless it’s not a .exe but it’s just like .txt and .pdf files etc.

I've never played Dungeons and Dragons, but I am very willing to learn if you guys are doing it, so count me in too.

awesome C: so, what times each week/day would work best for everyone...? keeping in mind that sessions can last several hours!
i think friday nights and weekends are best for me... i'm free after noon EST on fridays, and weekends it's kind of up in the air, but most weekend nights i'm just chillin out.
wednesday nights also would work for me, for the most part! occasionally i do have to stay late for class on wednesday, though, so my availability would depend on that.

My Monday-Thursday are extremely static, but a lot of times my schedule on the weekends makes it impossible for me to do anything. Wednesday and Thursdays after 2pm (central) would work best for me, but I could make it work on weekends (I'd just have to play it by ear).
Btw, people should start logging onto the Solastella IRC cause I'm normally on there and I could help you guys get familiar with the rules and help make your characters. In terms of how we'll actually play, what Zom and I did before was to have one IRC room for in character stuff and one of out of character stuff and dice rolls.

i could probably do thursdays at that time, i don't have class on thursdays! i just wouldn't be able to stay up terribly late since i do have class on fridays, but if we're starting so early, it should be no problem for me!

I'm still a high school kid, so I've got things to do on weekdays, but my weekends are free. I can get on at 2:40 to 2:50 on Thursday though - homework will just have to be done in the morning. I'm more worried about Graz - he's about five hours ahead of us, so he'd be the one sacrificing some of his sleeping time.

yeah, that's the tough bit <:/ i mean, if we're starting so early our time, that means that at least it isn't RIDICULOUSLY late for him, just like... 7 PM.
nish, whaddya think?

erm, weekends would definitely be better for me, though I don’t mind if we start reasonably early-ish. My schedule works on an alternating week basis, so I might be free-er one thursday than another

hmmm...
it's looking like weekends are possibly the best option here, although as seems to be the case with spidey, my weekend schedules are always kinda up in the air. still, saturdays might work for the most part?

I generally don't do much on weekends, and what I do I can often get out of. ^_^ So consider me in for it.

Well, if we are going to play on more of a pick up basis instead of a scheduled one, I would suggest that people go into the IRC if you have time to play. Since the c-box and the online list on proboards aren't the most reliable detectors of people's online status, it'd be convent to just be able to tab over to the IRC room and see who's available.

yes, that's a really good idea! everyone needs to start using the IRC more anyway... like i think i said when seas was online sometime, pretty much just pop in whenever you're online and stick around.
nish, do you think maybe you could put a link to the IRC at the top of the staff center board page? for folks who don't want to or can't bookmark the IRC page for whatever reason.
