should we let people travel to the archipelago straight away after the lab?.
In summary, I think that this would increase the number of people that want to RP and also make it easier for people to meet up and RP together. It might reduce the number of people who go through the league though.
EDIT: Voted through with a yes from Graz, Zom, Spidey and Bukowski, Maybe from Seas, No Vote from Crim.

Heh, doesn't make too much of a difference to me since I'm not the one to has to adapt the routes/cities to different people's levels. From a purely lore/rp perspective, I think it's a good idea, but it all comes down to how it will change the difficulty for the mods.
Unrelated: I forgot to write that program, so I'll do that today/tomorrow and hopefully we can put it up/test it on Feb 1st. (It's kinda hard for me to test it cause it detects what month it is and I'm not 100% how to trick the comp into thinking it's a different month)

agreeing with spidey, i think; it makes sense from a lore/rp perspective. and i don't think any adjustment asides from being sure to spawn stronger Pok?mon would be necessary, so it wouldn't be too tough.
that said, i'm not sure that it really matters as far as getting more members! but considering how slow things can be currently, i suppose it would be nice to be able to make more roleplay threads so no one gets bored.
after THINKING OUT LOUD i am voting a resounding "yes" to this

I noticed that. I was wondering what if we were thinking about it.
I don't know; I won't mind it if we decide to do it, but I don't see how it will bring new members. Also, I really like this whole 'starting on a cute little island' thing, it's nice. But. Just set me down as neutral.

Well from a lore standpoint, I don’t think there would be any islands with only strong Pok?mon, so we could always make it that they just happen to encounter the weaker Pok?mon more often?
The main reason was that I don’t want people to get bored while they’re travelling on Verda Bridge, really.
ERM, yeah, so that’s the idea - Plan to revise Romulus Laboratory to have a port (though I agree it’s cool that it’s on an untouched island) and Port Remus so people can come and go.
Crucially, they’d have to either own a boat or pay to travel to the archipelago each time and they couldn’t travel further ahead in the Solastella League Isles.

Also please please please whoever takes over if I get elected out make sure that the site’s canon is preserved and that if you’re going to change an area or add a new one you put it in the gazette or something fff I want Solastella to be like a real place /endplea<3

Well, from what I see the reactions to this are positive, positive, and neutral? Tell me if I'm wrong. I was thinking maybe we could have another vote (I adore these votes, can you tell?) and claim the vote represented the wishes of the people on Romulus.
Also, I think it's far more likely you'll just resign when you get too busy, but I'm sure no one will let the site fall from what you've made it. We'll watch out for it, anyway.

Well, I’ll probably run elections for my position periodically anyway - I don’t want to be in charge if someone else could do a better job or if I’m unpopular. It wouldn’t feel right. :3
Also, I’m very conscious of having too many referenda (I don’t want them to become unimportant, you see), so that’s why I thought that we could decide this amongst staff since it’s not really that big of a thing and I think it’s fairly obvious how most members would vote anyway.
I don’t know, if you want a referendum, we can have one, otherwise it looks like people are leaning positive on this? Crim’s the only one that hasn’t contributed to this discussion, so...

That should be something to see.
I suppose you're right - we can guess how they'd vote. And I don't blame them. We don't exactly need a referendum, though I think I'll accost some members in the c-box and ask what they'd think.
Though, if we do this, should we make it obvious?

Nahh, make it subtle, just like a "what do you think of this gazette article?"

Well, yes, I like that, but what I meant was if we separate the islands, should we mention this in a mass PM to everyone? Or just sneakily put it into the rules and let new members find out? Mass PM sounds fairer, but I'd like to put some incentive for reading the Gazette.
