Eva had taken a few days back at the hotel from the lab visit. As promised, she had written a letter to the professor about how helpful Tam had been. She had gone out of her way to thank him yet again. She had also used this time to get to know her new Pok?mon, a female Lotad. Despite the supposed intimacy from a trainer naming their Pok?mon, Eva had drawn a blank and had planned to simply call it by it's name. The little Pok?mon didn't seem to mind. In fact, the Lotad seemed beyond delighted to be at the hotel.
Lotad had kept Eva up most of the first night chattering away about this or that. Eva of course hadn't been able to understand a thing the Pok?mon was saying, but she nodded and said ahh and ohh at the appropriate times and that seemed to have satisfied the Lotad. When the small water Pok?mon had finally fell asleep Eva had too. Only to be awaken bright and early by the sounds of the Lotad snuffling around, opening up the many drawers and closets in the room.
At first Eva found it annoying that her Pok?mon couldn't contain her curiosity, but that soon changed to a sort of endearing trait that Eva didn't mind so much. By the time the duo had finally reached the route, Eva was worried her Lotad would give itself a aneurism in pure joy at being allowed to go past the lab. All Eva could do was roll her eyes and try to hide a smile as her Pok?mon darted back and forth over the path.

A WILD POKÉMON APPEARED !
Verda Bridge was an ancient bridge rising high above the clear blue water. Huge arches left enough room for cruise ships to pass through underneath from time to time, suspending the path over one hundred metres in the air. A covered walkway stretched from the furthest reaches of Romulus Isle all the way to Remus, though the opposite end of the pathway was impossible to see - the mossy brick bridge simply continued into the horizon, bright white stone gleaming in the winter sun.
Above the covered walkway, occasionally the rumble of a passing vehicle could be heard, but largely it was silent. Shrubs and trees overflowing from the walkway rustled in the wind from time to time.
And then there was a buzzing - at first it was hard to hear, but as the buzzing grew louder, so did it’s source - a Combee.
”You there! Will you buy some of my honey?”

Lotad had darted off a bit further than Eva wanted, and she became ever so slightly panicked when she couldn't see her blue and green Pok?mon. "Lotad?" She called out. Within a few seconds the Pok?mon poked its head from the bush and looked at Eva with eyes that clearly read 'walk faster.'
"Please stay closer to me, yes?" She said, relieved that her Pok?mon hadn't gotten lost. It was a silly fear, but Eva had never had the chance to really raise a Pok?mon herself and she wasn't sure if they ran away often. Or if they did at all, as a matter of fact. The little Lotad chirped her acknowledgment but when back to snuffling under the bushes, keeping care to stay somewhat seen by her owner.
It was then that Lotad heard the buzzing. All caution thrown to the wind she galloped towards it, awkward blue leg-stumps propelling her forward. This forced Eva to follow suit, calling after her Pok?mon who didn't seem to hear at all. What the duo came across was a rather strange sight. The little yellow Pok?mon buzzed something that Eva didn't understand.
This couldn't be said for Lotad, who knew exactly what the Pok?mon said. <"Well of course we'll buy your honey!"> The eager little Pok?mon replied, running up to her owner and jumping up, pulling at her pocket. Eva was dumbfounded as her Pok?mon tugged at her, managing to get her wallet free.
Lotad carried the wallet up to the Combee and spat it out before it. <"Will this cover it?"> She asked happily, unsure of what the whole concept of money was.
"Hey!" Eva cried out, stepping up and snatching the wallet from the ground. "You don't take things that don't belong to you." She scolded her Lotad. She tried to smile apologetically at the Combee. (who at this point Eva assumed had told her Lotad to steal her money)

The Combee giggled as the Lotad approached her with Eva’s wallet. It was a peculiar laugh - tinkly but a little like a buzz at the same time.
”Haha, you must be new to Solastella - I don’t need your whole wallet, I just need your Trainer Card. See?”
She fluttered over to one of the thick arches that supported the road above, its white bricks gleaming through the ivy that had taken root in them. ”I found this Card Reader, and I think I can use it to sell my honey now!” In the middle of some bushes, a card reader was sitting. ”I don’t quite know how this works, but I’ve heard that you can get rich if you sell things to other people! So what do you say? It’s just ten soleres for a jar of honey!” She smiled at the Lotad, hoping to entice her customer to part with the trainer’s money through sheer charm. ffcc33 [/sub][/blockquote][/blockquote]
