SIERRAVILLE HALL
EXPERIENCED-CLASS
Trainers may not compete at Sierraville Hall unless they have at least 30 contest points.[/right]
the PERFORMANCE
Sierraville Hall follows Solastella Grand Festival regulation contests, which means that contests are run regularly with eight co-ordinators in each contest. Each Co-ordinator has one week to write up a performance post, which should contain all of the actions that the Co-ordinator wishes to portray. You are only permitted one post, which may not be modified.
Three judges that are not participating in the contest will judge each post independently based on imagery, creativity and flow. The scores (given out of ten in whole integers) will then be combined to give each post a score out of 30. In the event of a tie, the three of them will consult to agree on a superior co-ordinator. If a judge is accused of bias, the highest ranking staff member not taking part will adjudicate. The rankings will then be announced, and the four lowest ranking co-ordinators will take their points and leave.
the BATTLE
Those with top 4 scores will move to the battling round. The Pokémon used in the Battling Round must be different to those used in performance. In Sierraville Hall, you are only permitted to use THREE Pokémon in the battling round.
Contest battles must adhere to all site rules as well. Opponents will be randomized, and there will be 2 battles in the semi final. Coordinators must choose Pokémon different from those used in the Performance round. Coordinators must show off their Pokémon while battling. The responses, dodges, attacks, and everything will be judged. Coordinators are still trying to write their best. Each challenger will have up to 6 posts for their battle.
Judges will be giving Coordinators points based on certain factors:
A dodge, negation, or deflection is worth at least 5 points. Judges may add up to 10 more points based on creativity of the dodge.
A damaging offensive move is worth at least 5 points. Judges may add up to 10 more points based on creativity of the attack.
A non-damaging offensive move is worth at least 5 points. Judges may add up to 5 points for the creativity of the move.
A non-damaging defensive move is worth at least 5 points. Judges may add up to 5 points for the creativity of the move.
Once a battles are over, judges will reveal the points each Coordinator has earned and determine the winners. The winners will then proceed to the finals and battle it out to determine the victor of the Contest. That victor will be given a ribbon. The final battle will have no restriction on the number of posts or scoring.
the REWARD
As a reward for competing in the Sierraville Hall Contest, you get points equivalent to the highest rank you attain. 2 points for if you’re in the bottom four, 4 if you reach the battling round, 6 for the runner-up and 8 for the victor. The winner will also receive a Sierraville Ribbon and Ƨ 1000. [/blockquote][/div]
