Time for the big Pokemorph referendum guys!
OKAY, here’s the situation.
Currently, pokemorphs cannot be created from Restricted Pok?mon, including swarm Pokémon. They can be shiny Pok?mon, but not restricted. Legendary Pokémon are forbidden and will always be forbidden as long as I am head admin.
HOWEVER, I’m going to ask for your input on the matter.
Which of the following rules should be implemented for Pokemorphs?
1) Restricted Pok?mon, Shiny Pok?mon, Restricted Shiny Pokémon are allowed, no limits. No legendaries.
2) Restricted Pok?mon, Shiny Pokémon are allowed, no limits. No legendaries, no Restricted Shiny Pokémon.
3) Restricted Pokémon are not allowed, Shiny Pokémon ARE allowed, no limits. No legendaries, no Restricted Shiny Pokémon (current system)
4) Restricted Shiny Pokémon not allowed, Shiny Pokémon allowed, Restricted Pokémon subject to limit. No legendaries.
5) Restricted Shiny Pokémon and Restricted Pokémon subject to limit, no legendaries.
6) All Shiny, Restricted and Restricted Shiny Pokémon subject to limit, no legendaries.
You are also asked to vote which limit type would be better - either 7, 8, 9 or 10. Even if the option you vote for doesn’t allow for limits, you need to vote for one of these options, because it might be that a limit system is introduced and you’ll have to live with it, so here goes. This poll has specifically been set to allow each member two votes.
7) Absolute limit on creation per month. Essentially this would say that there are only ever allowed to be ‘x’ number of limited morphs on Solastella. The only way to create more would be if an existing morph was retired.
8) Set quota per month. This would allow for an extra ‘x’ number of limited morphs to be created each month on Solastella, regardless of existing amounts. ‘x’ will not change from month to month.
9) Scaling Absolute Limit. This would say that there are only ever allows to be ‘y’ number of limited morphs on Solastella, but y is set as a fraction of members. So, if ‘y’ is set at a half, then the total number of limited morphs allowed on the site would be 8 if there are 16 members, 10 if there are twenty members. The only way to create more would be if the number of members increases or an existing morph is retired.
10) Absolute Scaling Quota per month. This is the most complex of the systems but arguably the fairest. This would allow for an extra ‘y’ number of limited morphs to be created each month on Solastella, regardless of existing amounts. However, the number of extra limited morphs allowed will change as the number of members change (as demonstrated in option 9)
——
Okay, just a few rules with the poll.
1. You must pick two options, one from set A (1-6) and one from set B (7-10). If one set has more votes than the other, I’ll know and be very upset. (actually, I’ll just re-run the poll in two separate threads, but I believe that we are all smart enough to work it out in one :3)
2. In order to ensure fairness, this referendum is only binding on Solastella if at least HALF of the members vote. There are 17 registered members, so that means at least 8 voters (or 16 votes) need to be made.
3. If this is not the case, the existing rules will remain in place.
4. In the event of a tie, the poll will be re-run with only those options. If no other options are picked, a consensus will be reached through discussion
5. Please discuss it in this thread. If you change your mind as a result of this discussion, that’s okay, I’ve set ‘retract votes’ to on, but remember, you must vote from BOTH SETS.
6. PM me with any questions. The poll ends on 1st November.

Absolute limits seem like too much work to me; who wants to keep track of all of that? Quotas are at least managable. And the scaling system will be fairer if we get more members (unlikely, I know).
I also think we should at least have a chance to make whatever kind of pokemorph we want, so that cuts out A2, A3, and A4 for me. This leaves me stuck between A1, A5, and A6. Or, I guess just A5 and A6, since I'm trying to not be selfish....going with A6, 'cause we might as well limit every special thing if we're limiting one special thing.
Also, here's a question: Do we know what 'y' will be set at in options B9 and B10?

‘Y’ can be determined later, since options B9 and B10 might not even be necessary. I’d say something like a quarter or a fifth (round numbers are best) since not that many people create legendary morphs anyway.

You mean shiny, restricted and shiny restricted, yes? Not legendary? If you do I might have to kill you and start over I'd be upset.

As a result of this referendum, options a6 and b10 will immediately come into effect.
