Having gained much popularity in the Solastella region over the past couple of years, Contests are another alternative a trainer can take on their journey. While gym battles are all about strength and strategy, contests are about appeal and skill. Those who undergo this discipline are deemed Coordinators, and their goal is to show off their Pokémon to the best of their ability. Taking on the Solastella Contest League is no easy task; the system is much differently set up than the Gym League.
First of all, you do not have to win a Contest to receive a benefit for participating. Every contestant that enters a Contest will receive a certain amount of points, depending on their placing. These points will eventually level up their Coordinator status. Once at a certain status, they can challenge the Master Hall, which is the goal of any aspiring Coordinator. Once you defeat the Master Hall, you are deemed a Contest Master.
Participating in a Contest
Each town will be holding a Contest when the time comes. When a Contest register date is announced, each trainer will go to the hall with their designated level, which will be in a different town each time. There, they will register, and once eight spots have been a filled, a contest date will be announced. They then have that much time to train and prep. Each Contest may have a different set of rules, which will also be posted with the Contest date.

- Three judges that are not participating will be chosen to score each post based the imagery, creativeness, and flow.
- Scoring• Each judge is to give each post an integer between 1 and 10 without consulting one another.
• The scores will be combined, and then the average will be taken from the scores.
• If a judge is accused of being bias, the highest ranking staff member who is not participating will come to appeal the decision.
- The Places will be announced, and the Bottom 4 will receive their points and leave.
- Those with the Top 4 scores will move on to the next round, the Battling Round.
- The Pokémon used in the Performance round CAN NOT be used for the battling round.
Round 2: Battling
- Once the Top 4 are announced, the battling will begin shortly after.
- Contest battles must adhere to all site rules as well.
- Opponents will be randomized, and there will be 2 battles in the semi final.
- Coordinators must choose Pokémon different from those used in the Performance round.
- Coordinators must show off their Pokémon while battling. The responses, dodges, attacks, and everything will be judged. Coordinators are still trying to write their best.
- Each challenger will have up to 6 posts for their battle.
- Judges will be giving Coordinators points based on certain factors:• A dodge, negation, or deflection is worth at least 5 points. Judges may add up to 10 more points based on creativity of the dodge.
• A damaging offensive move is worth at least 5 points. Judges may add up to 10 more points based on creativity of the attack.
• A non-damaging offensive move is worth at least 5 points. Judges may add up to 5 points for the creativity of the move.
• A non-damaging defensive move is worth at least 5 points. Judges may add up to 5 points for the creativity of the move.
- Once a battles are over, judges will reveal the points each Coordinator has earned and determine the winners.
- The winners will then proceed to the finals and battle it out to determine the victor of the Contest. That victor will be given a ribbon.

- The Master Hall is not a Contest. The Master Hall houses the 4 reigning Master Coordinators of Solastella, each one tougher than the next.

- The Performance will be done with either 1 or 2 Pokémon, to the Coordinator's discretion.
- If the Masters accept the challenge, then the battles begin.
- Each Master will have 3 Pokémon.
- Coordinators may access the Master Hall with 6 Pokémon, but must only choose 3 of those six to challenge a Master with.
- You only have 7 posts to gain as many points as possible against the Master Coordinator you challenge.
- Points are awarded by the Master Coordinator him/herself. Being Masters, they have no bias, and will judge accordingly.
- In order to advance onto the next Master Coordinator, the margin between your score and the Master's score must be a positive 15 or greater.
- If you do not succeed, you must restart the entire challenge, beginning with the Performance again.
