Mod Hall Rules
The Mod Hall is a place where you can apply for a new mod for your thread. This thread is intended to just outline the rules for this board and act as a guide for various situations to do with modding.
If a mod has not replied for more than three days
This is three days, or seventy-two hours, from the time of your last post, and is likely to be the most common reason that you post here. In this case, you can choose whether or not to apply for a new mod. If you don’t mind waiting, by all means go ahead and wait (or PM the mod to remind them, just make sure not to PM them in a harassing or aggressive way, they all have other things to do as well!) for them to reply. If you do not want to wait, then please post here, along with a link to the thread you are applying for, the name of the previous mod and any other notes. If you are mid-plot, it is probably also helpful to put a brief summary of the story so far.
If you no longer want your current mod
This is an unfortunate situation to be in, but sadly it does happen from time to time. For personal reasons you do not feel comfortable working with a mod, or perhaps you feel that they are neglecting your thread, leaving it till the third day to reply each time. In that case, you should apply immediately for a new mod, posting (as before) a link to the thread you are applying for, the name of the previous mod and any other notes. This time, however, you should state that the three day limit has not been breached and outline your reasons for wanting a different mod. This will then be looked over by the mods who will decide in court whether you should be allowed to continue with your application. Once you have been given the go-ahead to swap, another mod will take your thread.
(In the rare event that a mod doesn’t want you, the same procedure follows, except the mod will file an internal application in the Legislative Assembly)
If your mod can no longer mod for you
This may be because of an absence or because they are struggling with workload. In general they will explain this to you or post a thread in Absences. You should apply for a new mod immediately (unless you know they will be able to mod again for you soon and don’t mind waiting) and explain that your mod is going to be unable to continue.
If you are reviving an old thread (i.e. from archives)
You can immediately apply for a new mod, even if you have just posted. This is especially relevant if your old mod is no longer a member. If you would like your previous mod to pick up where they left off, you can do this by asking them personally.
If you have any other situation
Please PM a Minister, Governor or the First Minister, and they will endeavour to solve your situation as soon as possible.
Guidelines for mods
This is fairly self-explanatory, just take the threads from here, unless they come under the second category. In this case, please raise the issue in the court (if it hasn’t been already) where mods can look over the situation and come to a decision. Once a thread is green lighted, then you may take it. Try to take older threads first where possible, no-one likes waiting.
