Staff Application Rules
1) In order to apply for a staff position, you must apply in the Recruitment Centre, and your application must contain the following:
1.1) Which staff position you are applying for.
1.2) Why you think that you would be suited to the position
1.3) Why you want this position
1.4) Audition pieces. If you are applying for a primarily writing-based role, such as mod, you must include links to threads in Solastella. If you are applying for a primarily art or coding based role, this can include outside works, as long as they are your own. The point of this is to ensure that staff members, and therefore the site, remains at a high standard. Merchants do not require this.
1.5) Any other notes
1.6) Which Pokémon you would like to represent you in the staff roster. This will then be yours until you leave staff, when it will be free for someone else to claim.
2) You may NOT apply for First Minister, Minister or Governor positions. These positions are filled from current staff members through an independent application process.
3) In order to apply for a staff position, you must have been active for at least one month on this site and accumulated at least 50 posts.
4) The available staff positions are:
4.1) Moderator: Moderators generally go and RP with you in your threads. They will handle your currency transactions and generate Pokémon. The lifeblood of any roleplaying site.
4.2) Engineer: Engineers work on coding and design for the site, under the watchful eye of other members of the design staff. They work on skins and also adding new features to Solastella
4.3) Craftmaster: These are like a combination of Engineers and Moderators, so they can RP for you and help design the site, which makes them powerful.
4.4) Merchant: Merchants are in charge of handling the things that people often forget, but which are so important to the running of the site. They do not have the ability to RP with members, but instead, they shops, stalls and locations such as the Dream Spring, making sure that you do not have to wait too long to get what you want.
4.5) Courtier: Courtiers exist to help solve disputes between members in the court. It is their job to look through similar previous cases to ensure that the ruling is equitable and also to argue both sides of the case.
4.6) Tradesmerchant: Tradesmerchant handle the things that people often forget such as shops, stalls and locations such as the Dream Spring, but also work on the site, adding new features and skins to Solastella.
5) If you are denied for a position, you may re-apply at any time. However, be sure that you have demonstrably improved. If you are denied three times successively, you must wait one month before your next application. Upper staff will try and give you feedback as to why you were rejected, so you can improve.
